Best decision I could have made for my aluminum climbers. Leather straps especially brand new straps are impossible to get tight, and hook ends up moving on your foot. Hook and loop straps are better for adjusting fit. I had a set with quick release buckles but they dug into my feet painfully by the end of the day. These are much less uncomfortable. I'm not sure how they will hold up I just wore them once or twice.
